Key Challenges:

·         Driving Controls & putting in place robust control mechanisms to track and control spends

·         Drive Company Audit (statutory and internal) processes

·         Pro-actively highlighting business risks from control perspectives

·         Implementing compliances, from Direct and Indirect taxes and company law perspectives

·         Streamlining transaction processing, including back office

·         Leveraging SAP usage (S4 Hana transition as well), analysis and drive IT initiatives

·         Steering Direct tax litigations, if any through consultants

·         Driving process improvements and setting up SOPs

·         Cash flow management, forecasting and receivable management

Key Result Area for the position:

Financial Control and Asset Stewardship

·         General admin expenses control

·         Cash flow management and back office operations

·         Safeguard company assets by maintaining a high level of financial controls

·         Implement risk management initiatives and Best Practices

·         Exercise appropriate authorizations for CAPEX as per financial policies

 

Financial Reporting, Audit

·         Ensure the timely development of relevant and reliable financial information to all ‘stakeholders’

·         Ensure timely results reporting for monthly results

·         Ensure timely implementation of internal and external audit recommendations

Financial Transaction Processing incl Cost Reduction Initiatives

·         Implement Best Practice tools which improve the accuracy, timeliness and cost effectiveness of financial transaction processing and reporting.

·         Implement policies and procedures that support efficient, well-controlled financial transaction processing systems and which are responsive to the needs of customers, suppliers and internal partners

·         Ensure leveraging of SAP and other IT systems for improved performance analysis

·         Responsible for all payments from Company on time and in line with SOPs

·         Cash flow forecasting

·         Initiate cost reduction initiatives from Finance

·         Responsible for studying the processes that can be outsourced to external agencies after necessary cost benefit analysis

 

Compliance

·         Ensure compliance with all local and corporate statutory laws, rules and regulations

·         Handle all Direct tax litigations in liaison with Legal / Consultants

·         Identify and pursue implementation of Direct tax saving initiatives

·         Setting up SOPs and Process Improvement

·         Driving setting up of Processes and SOPs along with other Depts viz. Supply Chain, HR, Sales & Distribution, Marketing, Production, Projects team

Drive IT Initiatives

·         Represent Company for all IT initiatives for the Company, co-ordinate with BIS team and drive automation / process improvements through IT
