Financial Outcomes

  • Ensure the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, leading to reliable financial data for decision-making.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled. Ensure that closing activities are completed on schedule.
  • Optimize R2R processes to reduce operational costs associated with financial reporting and accounting.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations, while implementing internal controls to minimize financial risks.
  • Ensure the reconciliation of various accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and intercompany accounts. Resolve discrepancies and variances.
  • Review and approve journal entries and adjustments to the general ledger. Ensure that they are supported by appropriate documentation.

Customer service

  • Generate various financial reports and analyses for management, stakeholders, and other relevant parties to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, treasury, and procurement, to ensure smooth information flow and effective financial management.
  • Act as a first point of contact for escalation and resolve reconciliation issues escalated by team members and onshore stakeholders.

Internal Processes

  • Oversee the accuracy and quality of financial data and reports generated by the team, conducting regular quality checks and reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the R2R function and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Encourage team members to contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls within the R2R function to prevent errors and fraud, ensuring compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring auditors have access to the required financial information and supporting documents.
  • Motivate R2R team members to achieve team targets and performance standards.

Innovation and Learning

  • Establish a feedback loop for the team to share their ideas and experiences and provide a platform for open discussions about how to improve processes and adopt innovation.
  • Encourage team members to share best practices, not only within the team but also with other departments in the organization. Learning from other teams’ experiences can lead to innovation and efficiency gains.
