Key Responsibilities:
Month End Close Activities & Team Management
- Lead and manage a team of GL accountants, team leads and assistant managers.
- Foster a high performance culture by setting clear goals providing guidance and conducting performance reviews
- Perform in-depth Balance sheet and P&L Reviews independently to ensure financial integrity and compliance
- Conduct monthly flux analysis to identify and explain significant variances. Provide actionable insights to management based on data
- Support Internal and external audits by providing required documentation and resolving audit queries
- Partner with other finance teams (e.g. Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable and Corporate ) to address interdependencies
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members, assisting them in driving automation and optimization for processes
- Analyse existing processes and workflow, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvements.
- Lead and mentor a team of GL accountants to ensure high quality deliverables
- Monitor team performance allocate task effectively and provide necessary training

Operational Excellence
- Lead Process Improvement initiatives with the GL team, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains
- Assist in the clean-up of Balance sheet accounts and implement streamlined processes
- Review and optimize existing financial processes including month end close reconciliations and reporting
Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong proactive relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure coordination & optimal performance
Governance & Compliance
- Implement effective governance, compliance and risk management frameworks across the capability centre to drive holistic performance and maintain reputation
